Noisecollector is coming out with a track soon that uses a deadman sample in which he was testing his new microphone using some Jimmy Hendrix lyrics. The original recording has deadman singing "Have you ever been to, Have you ever been to electric ladyland?". This was ran through some plugin called clone which creates chorus like pitched voices, like virtual background singers. In order to make it fit the tempo, it was cut to "Have you ever been to" and looped... So it sounds like it could be "Have you ever been 2?".

Which raises the question, "Have YOU ever been 2?"

Stay tuned, I heard the almost complete track and it's pretty neat. It should be up this weekend. Now every time I hear it, I think it's about 2... you should think that 2. I am off 2 get some satival vaporage.

I'm not the real 2, but I have played him once or twice on the "Is it time to ruin Cliff's day already?" forum. Which is sometimes also refered to as the Grateful Dead forum.

Most of the time I just play myself, but people keep getting me confused for THE 2. Or maybe it just doesn't matter to everyone and all the 2's are the same.

Bizarre names not where it’s @, China says
Government upset by parents’ request to name son after e-mail ‘at’ symbol

Updated: 11:07 a.m. PT Aug 16, 2007
BEIJING - A Chinese couple seeking a distinctive name for their child settled on the e-mail ‘at’ symbol — annoying government officials grappling with an influx of unorthodox names.

The unidentified couple were cited Thursday by a government official as an example of citizens bringing bizarre names into the Chinese language.

Written Chinese does not use an alphabet but is comprised of characters, sometimes making it difficult to develop words for new or foreign objects and ideas. As of last year, only 129 names accounted for 87 percent of all surnames in China, Li Yuming, vice director of the State Language Commission, said at a news conference.

The letters ‘a’ and ’t’ can be pronounced in a way that sounds like the phrase “love him” in Chinese.

The father “said ‘the whole world uses it to write e-mails and, translated into Chinese, it means ‘love him,”’ Li said.

Li did not say if police, who are the arbiters of names because they issue identity cards, rejected baby ‘at.’

I've never been 2....but damn close....I've been number one by 2 different people at the same time! so I'd rather have been 2, quite frankly!
